Dive site Great variety- Police station site was too crowded but it made me appreciate the others more. For my Open water Padi and Advanced, topics attocked with humour and enthusiasm. Guides were very actives and interested in guset.Crew helpfull and attentive. Staff friendly and positive. Equipment: 2 points of equipement issue would spead up the process. A great group od divers who enjoy the sites and happen to share expériences with us all.

My wife and I have stayed at Awlad Baraka three times during 2009. The first time was for one night in February while on a two day privately guided diving excursion from Hurghada. We were able to fit in Abu Dabab (we saw the Dugong!), Elphinstone, Samadai (Dolphin House Reef) as well as a sun-set dive on the house reef. The camp itself is pretty small; i think 50 guests max so it has a very intimate feel. You know everyone there within a couple of days. The staff are mainly from Aswan. The people from Aswan are famous in Egypt for being kind, helpful, happy, fun, honest and great company and the staff at Awlad Baraka are all those things. The clientele are from all over Europe. We've not seen too many Brits there but English is the language that everyone goes to when people... more
