Ras Abu Soma is about a 45 minute boat journey and lies at the north end of Safaga bay. The Ras has a steep wall which unites in the south with a plateau at 25 metres. The plateau has a large population of table corals. Common sightings of grey reef, whitetip, leopard and hammerhead sharks with mantas during March and April.
