What the photos cannot show are the odors of gas oil or in the worst case, sewage into the cabins, the noise of engines and generators at night, engines stowed in such a way that they shake the whole boat and a vibrating hum that rings in your ears for the duration of your stay, poor selections of food with little variety and water rationing. This might sound like an exert from Holiday Hell but these issues are all too common, unfortunately. These 'extra' surprises can ruin your holiday and destroy your cruising happiness.
