Aquarius Makadi is one of the newest Aquarius centres in Hurghada, opened in 2003 and located on the beach between two of the resorts best hotels; The Royal Azur 5* and the Club Azur 4*. Other hotels in the area include The Meridien, Fort Arabesque, Grand Makadi and the Iberotel Resorts.

Makadi Bay is a fairly new resort area to the south of Hurghada and just north of Safaga. Most of the hotels and accommodation have their own beach fronts with good sandy beaches for swimming and snorkeling. Makadi Bay is only 20km from Hurghada International Airport and the main town of Hurghada.
