**Do I need experience to start diving?**
No. Discover Scuba Diving and Try Diving programmes are designed for absolute beginners — an instructor stays with you the whole time. Minimum age 10 (8 for pool-only PADI Bubblemaker).

**Do I need to know how to swim to scuba dive?**
For Discover Scuba Diving and intro dives, you don't need to swim but must be able to float for 10 minutes. For PADI Open Water Diver certification, you need to swim 200m continuously (any stroke) and tread water for 10 minutes.

**Is diving safe for beginners?**
Yes. PADI 5-Star IDC, fully insured, DAN-certified, CDWS-compliant (ISO 24803 / EN 14467). Beginner dives use small groups, shallow depths (2–12m), one-on-one or one-to-two instructor supervision.

**Is a medical certificate mandatory?**
Recommended but not always mandatory. On arrival, you complete the standard PADI/RSTC medical questionnaire. If you answer "yes" to any condition (asthma, heart issues, etc.), a doctor's clearance may be required before diving.

**What certifications do you accept?**
We welcome certified divers from PADI, SSI, CMAS, BSAC, SDI, TDI, NAUI, RAID, and equivalents. Bring your certification card and logbook. If you haven't dived in over 12 months, a refresher dive is recommended.

**What documents should I bring?**
Diving certification card and dive logbook. We verify certifications online if needed. A passport is useful for ID. Courses require a PADI medical questionnaire (completed on site).

**What wetsuit thickness do I need?**
Red Sea water temps range from 21°C in winter (Dec–Feb) to 28°C in late summer. Recommended: 5mm full wetsuit in winter, 3mm full or shorty in summer. Add a hood in winter if you feel the cold easily.

**Can children dive?**
Yes. PADI Bubblemaker and Seal Team from age 8 (pool only, max 2–4m). PADI Junior Open Water from age 10 (max 12m). Age 12–14 is junior certification with depth restrictions; from age 15 standard adult certification applies.
